Thinking about a Ferret ???

The reason our shelter is so full is that people did not research ferret ownership
before acquiring a ferret.
A ferret is not a simple pet, nor is it ever a child's responsibility!

bulletDo your research first!
bulletBe sure a ferret is the right pet for you!!
bulletA ferret's life span is 8-10 years...What will you be doing in 8 years?
bullet A ferret is not a pet for a child to take care of !  The parents must be the one who wants the ferret, and be the caretaker of the ferret.   The children can then assist!!
bullet Ferrets can be quite expensive with their veterinary visits-
*Ferrets are prone to cancer and most will require costly veterinary care throughout their lifetime.
*In addition,  ferrets need routine yearly exams and shots.
