**While all of the
above items are valuable to the day-to-day operation of the shelter, none
of it would be of any use if it weren't for the unselfish help provided by
our all-volunteer staff. The ferrets are given daily exercise periods,
their cages are cleaned, and those that require special feedings or
medications are given the special attention they need. (They get a lot of
cuddling, too!) We are currently in need of a few more volunteers to help
care for the shelter ferrets during the day and early evenings on certain
